About this solution
Objectives
1. Develop operational skills in flying an aircraft
Students use certified or training simulators to become familiar with on-board instruments, flight controls, the management of weather scenarios and simulated radio communication (COM/NAV).
2. Apply knowledge of navigation, cartography and meteorology
Using ICAO charts, plotters, E6B computers, METAR/TAF maps and digital tools, students learn to plan routes, correct their heading for wind, interpret weather data and use VFR/IFR navigation tools.
3. Know and comply with aviation regulations
Studying ENAC/EASA regulations, visual signals and simulated flight plans prepares students to follow the rules of the air, manage documentation and ensure aviation safety.
4. Use technical tools for simulation and maintenance
Cutaway aircraft models, maintenance kits, PPE and bench tools make it possible to simulate basic work on aircraft sections, linking mechanical theory to demonstration and lab practice.
Learning Aims
1. Combine the theory of flight with practical training
Lessons on the simulator and with real instruments strengthen understanding of aerodynamics, instrumentation and in-flight behaviour through progressive, interactive exercises.
2. Develop planning and decision-making skills
Learning activities involve route planning, management of simulated traffic and dealing with unexpected events, fostering autonomy, critical thinking and operational awareness.
3. Promote a safety culture and adherence to procedures
The introduction of PPE, signage, emergency kits and structured briefings teaches students to behave responsibly and in compliance with aviation and flight safety rules.
4. Prepare students to enter the aviation sector
The entire lab is designed to give students the tools and methods used in flight schools, simulated ATC centres and basic maintenance, to ease their entry into the aviation world and their choice of future specialist pathways.
