About this solution

Objectives

1. Use computer systems for professional and educational activities

PC workstations are equipped with webcams, headsets with microphones, Windows/Linux licences, Office software and data-sharing tools (NAS, Wi-Fi). Each student works in an up-to-date technological environment and becomes accustomed to using collaborative platforms and digital tools.

2. Develop coding and programming skills

The lab includes software licences for IDEs, compilers, debuggers and development environments, with a focus on languages such as Python, C/C++ and JavaScript. Students learn to design and test applications, mastering professional tools.

3. Design and configure local networks in the lab

Routers, firewalls, switches, CAT6 cables, patch panels and cabling kits allow practical exercises on the physical and logical structure of networks. Students learn about IP addressing, subnetting, DNS and routing.

4. Build embedded and IoT applications

With Raspberry Pi boards, breadboards and basic electronic modules, learners build working prototypes of IoT devices. They learn to integrate hardware and software for data collection, remote control and real-time processing.

Learning Aims

1. Become autonomous in the use of digital technologies

The lab promotes mastery of IT tools, both for individual productivity and for interaction in networked environments, improving operational autonomy and transferable skills.

2. Integrate hardware and software for practical applications

Through project activities with microcontrollers and simulations, students learn to integrate logical, electronic and computing aspects, following a STEM approach.

3. Explore networks, data and cybersecurity

Software modules and network equipment allow exercises on security, vulnerabilities, firewalling and data protection, introducing students to the world of modern digital infrastructure.

4. Work safely in the IT environment

Workstations are designed in line with ergonomics and safety standards, with non-slip mats, signage, PPE and protective devices for electronic components.
