Abintrax at Didacta Italia 2026: teaching innovation, artificial intelligence and training for schools

At Didacta Florence 2026 we brought practical solutions for school heads, DSGAs, teachers and schools that truly want to innovate

11–13 March 2026 • Stand K16 • Spadolini Pavilion • Fortezza da Basso, Florence

From11 to 13 March 2026 Abintrax took part in Didacta Italia 2026, Italy’s leading event dedicated to training, teaching innovation and the school of the future.
In the setting of the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, our Stand K16 in the Spadolini Pavilion became a lively space for meetings, advice and discussion, designed for school heads, DSGAs, teachers, digital leads and education professionals.

Didacta Florence 2026

Three days at the heart of the most important fair for Italian schools, with workshops, seminars, meetings and hands-on demonstrations.

The key themes

Artificial intelligence in schools, educational robotics, digital teaching, STEAM, immersive environments, administrative support and school innovation.

The outcome

New relationships, highly sought-after 1:1 consultations, direct dialogue with schools and concrete projects to develop over the coming months.

Didacta Italia 2026: why it was a strategic event for Abintrax

Our presence at Didacta Florence 2026 was more than just taking part in a trade fair.
It was a real opportunity to listen to the actual needs of Italian schools and present solutions for teaching innovation that combine technology, methodology and practical application.

In an edition that placed great emphasis on teacher training, innovation of the school model, artificial intelligence, immersive environments, educational robotics and STEAM pathways, Abintrax chose to be there with a clear proposal: turning innovation into useful, sustainable tools that schools can adopt straight away.

A stand designed for real schools

In our exhibition space we welcomed School Heads, DSGAs, teachers, lab managers and digital leads looking for practical answers.
Not a static showcase, but an environment built to encourage dialogue, practical demonstrations, advice and project design.

This approach allowed us to highlight what really matters: not technology for its own sake, but its ability to improve school organisation, teaching and the quality of learning.

Artificial intelligence in schools: the central theme of Didacta Florence 2026

Among the strongest themes of Didacta Italia 2026,artificial intelligence in schools was undoubtedly in the spotlight.
The event’s official programme also gave ample space toAI for innovation, hands-on design, personalised learning pathways and the use of AI for teaching and learning.

Against this backdrop, Abintrax put forward a practical vision of AI: a tool that can support teaching, simplify processes, foster inclusion and enhance the day-to-day work of schools, teachers and school offices.

From theory to real-world applications

Thanks to the contribution of Giuseppe Alaimo and the team from theUniversity of Basilicata led by Prof. Alessio Fabiano, we approached AI in a hands-on way, showing how it can enter schools not as a passing trend but as a lever for building more effective, inclusive and up-to-date learning environments.

The topics covered included hybrid teaching, digital skills, the DigComp framework, organisational automation and the use of artificial intelligence in education and administration.

Educational robotics, STEAM and digital teaching

Alongside AI, another key focus was educational robotics, coding and STEAM teaching.
Didacta 2026 confirmed how central these areas are for today’s schools, and our stand became a working lab where visitors could see tools, methods and activities that can be replicated at every school level.

With the KIROBOT pathways and the demos of block-based programming, we showed how technical and transferable skills can be developed through engaging, cross-curricular, problem-solving-oriented experiences.

Immersive environments and a phygital approach

The 2026 edition also put the spotlight on immersive environments and new forms of experiential learning.
In this direction, the solutions presented by Abintrax together with ETS Didactic highlighted the value of phygitalteaching, in which physical space and digital content come together in a single learning pathway.

There was also great interest in the workshops on podcasting at school and KamishibAI, concrete examples of how innovation and educational languages can coexist in a creative and functional way.

“At Didacta Italia 2026 we saw schools asking for practical innovation: less abstract theory, more tools, training and solutions that can really be applied.”

Solutions for school heads and DSGAs: innovation in management too

One thing that made our participation in Didacta Florence 2026 particularly effective was the dialogue with school heads and DSGAs.
Today, innovation in schools is not just about the classroom, but also about organisation, management, administrative processes and the ability to steer change.

That is why we made room for topics of great practical interest, such as managing framework agreements for coach hire, the tender specifications in negotiated procedures and the impact of the Riforma 1/2026 (Reform 1/2026).

Useful discussion, ready to put into practice

The talks by Alfonsina Montefusco and Giovanni Minelli offered a practical, immediately useful perspective, much appreciated by those who deal every day with regulatory, management and decision-making matters within schools.

It is precisely in this balance between innovative teaching and organisational support that Abintrax continues to build its value for the world of education.

Teacher training and school leadership

At a fair that gave ample space to school staff training, immersive workshops and seminars, Abintrax encountered an increasingly clear demand: schools are looking for partners who can not only supply technology but genuinely support change.

This is also the context for events with a more institutional and leadership focus, such as the launch of the course DIRSCUOLA AI@scuola and of the book dedicated to the evaluation of school heads, which reinforced the theme of educational leadership and the governance of innovation.

1:1 consultations, networking and new projects after Didacta 2026

One of the strongest signals to emerge during the event was the interest in direct dialogue.
Our 1:1 consultations were extremely popular, confirming that schools, school heads and teachers are looking for partners who can listen to their needs and turn them into concrete pathways.

The meetings held at the stand have already brought us new opportunities for collaboration on digital teaching, innovative labs, educational robotics, artificial intelligence for schools, teacher training and project design support.

Beyond the fair: how we turn meetings into results

Didacta Italia 2026 has closed, but the work goes on.
The contacts made in Florence are now becoming needs analysis, advice, educational design, support for schools, supply of technology solutions and training pathways.

We come away from this edition with one certainty: schools are looking for reliable, skilled partners who can turn innovation into real value.

The future of schools is already here. Abintrax is ready to build it with you.

Would you like to bring this innovation to your school?

After Didacta Florence 2026 we continue to support schools, school heads, DSGAs and teachers with advice, project design and solutions for innovative teaching.
