About this solution

Objectives

1. Develop skills in architectural and interior design

Using professional tools such as BIM/CAD software, graphics tablets and material sample books, students design functional and creative interiors at full and reduced scale.

2. Build prototypes and physical models

The lab makes it possible to move from drawing to model using 3D printers, laser cutters, power tools and modelling kits, developing practical skills and precision of execution.

3. Strengthen digital and communication skills

The technology infrastructure supports graphic processing, project documentation and multimedia presentation, including photographic recording and touch interaction.

4. Work in safe and inclusive environments

Thanks to PPE, extraction systems, emergency buttons and adjustable tables, the lab provides ergonomic and protected spaces for everyone, promoting a shared safety culture.

Learning Aims

1. Prepare students for careers in design and furniture

The lab builds knowledge of the design, modelling and presentation stages that are essential for entering the fields of design, visual communication and interior design.

2. Combine creativity with a technical and scientific method

Students learn to balance aesthetics, functionality and technical constraints through exercises that combine inventiveness, analytical skills and the management of materials.

3. Promote sustainable design and cooperative work

The mindful use of resources and the sharing of design activities strengthen environmental responsibility and interpersonal soft skills in school and professional contexts.

4. Encourage active, hands-on learning

The working setting encourages experiential learning, operational autonomy and reflection on the design process as a path of personal and professional growth.
