Objectives
1. Technical and Practical Training
The main objective of this section is to provide in-depth training in the use and maintenance of intercom systems.
Students will learn how to use various diagnostic and measuring instruments, including testers, multimeters and network analysers,
to ensure the efficiency and safety of installations. The training will also include a complete overview of the hardware and software
of the systems, to gain a thorough understanding of how modern devices and new technologies work.
2. Developing Professional Skills
During this module, students will learn to install and configure traditional and digital intercom systems.
This includes installing systems with 2-wire and 4+N wiring, as well as advanced IP-based and bus-based systems.
Another key aspect is learning to read wiring diagrams, which makes it possible to design and build complex
intercom installations. Time will also be devoted to practical exercises to consolidate the skills acquired.
3. Safety and Regulations
Safety is a crucial aspect of training an intercom technician. In this module, students will learn the CEI standards
for intercom installations, as well as the safety rules for working with electrical installations.
They will be made aware of the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), managing electrical risk and privacy,
particularly for video intercoms. This module will also provide the basics for working safely, minimising the risks associated
with the work and with installing the systems.
4. Problem Solving and Diagnostics
Fault diagnosis is an essential skill for every technician. During this module, students will tackle a series
of practical scenarios simulating common faults in intercom systems. They will be guided through the process of identifying the fault,
assessing its causes and solving the problem promptly and efficiently.
The focus will be on an analytical approach that enables students to solve problems independently, increasing the reliability of installations
and reducing response times.
Aims
1. Training Qualified Technicians
The main aim of the course is to train competent professionals able to work in the intercom installation sector.
Students will receive complete preparation that will make them ready to work in residential and industrial settings.
This course will prepare them to face the challenges of the market, both as employees of installation companies and as self-employed
professionals in the field of security and home automation.
2. Professional Development
The intercom installation sector is constantly evolving, with the introduction of new technologies and digital systems.
This course aims to keep electricians, installers and maintenance technicians up to date with the latest innovations,
such as the use of IP systems and their integration with smart home solutions.
Continuous professional development is essential to ensure that professionals keep up with the times
and can offer modern solutions to their customers.
3. Promoting Technological Innovation
Another key objective of the course is to foster knowledge of the most advanced technologies in the intercom field.
Students will learn how to integrate intercom systems with smartphones and home automation devices,
enabling features such as remote door opening and facial recognition.
Technological innovation is a fundamental component in offering modern, secure solutions to end users.
4. Employment or Certification
The course will not only provide practical skills, but will also focus on helping students find employment.
At the end of the programme, students will have the opportunity to obtain industry-recognised certifications,
which will improve their career prospects.
They will also be supported in their job search, whether with installation companies
or by starting their own business in the security and home automation sector.
