About this solution

Objectives

1. Learn the fundamentals of lighting engineering

Students acquire basic knowledge of luminous flux, luminous intensity, illuminance, efficacy and luminance, through practical measurements and structured theoretical materials.

2. Examine lamp types and circuits

Using training boards, students analyse incandescent, halogen, fluorescent and LED lamps, with their respective power supply and dimming circuits, including in DALI mode.

3. Design and assess lighting systems

The lab makes it possible to simulate installations in settings such as corridors, hotels or retail spaces, planning the system according to client requirements and current regulations.

4. Use advanced measuring instruments

Instruments such as lux meters, power analysers and thermal cameras allow precise measurements of light output, energy efficiency and the thermal behaviour of installations.

Educational Aims

1. Develop operational skills in lighting installations

The teaching package guides students through the installation and testing of real lighting systems, using modular supports and professional experiment boards.

2. Integrate lighting theory and practical applications

Guided projects provide a direct link between lighting theory and technical design, with attention to lamp types and energy efficiency.

3. Prepare for the use of advanced control systems

With DALI modules, touch panels, KNX gateways and configuration software, students learn to manage intelligent lighting control, including in home automation and industrial settings.

4. Promote a professional approach to diagnostics and measurement

Advanced measuring instruments such as three-phase power analysers and thermal cameras make it possible to assess the quality of an installation and identify anomalies in a structured way.
