Description
We are pleased to announce a key initiative for the future of education: Ministerial Decree 66/2023, which allocates significant funding to training school staff for the digital transition in state-recognised private schools (paritarie). This call is a crucial opportunity to update the digital skills of teachers and ATA staff, ensuring cutting-edge education in line with the needs of today’s world.
The Importance of the Digital Transition in Schools
The digital transition is no longer an option but a pressing need for every educational institution. Integrating digital technologies into teaching and school management is essential to:
- Improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning: Innovative digital tools can make lessons more interactive and engaging.
- Develop students’ digital skills: Preparing young people for an increasingly digital labour market.
- Streamline administrative processes: Making school management more efficient and transparent.
- Ensure inclusion: Offering personalised, accessible learning opportunities for all.
State-recognised private schools, with their flexibility and focus on innovation, are ideally placed to take up this challenge and turn it into a competitive advantage.
DM 66/2023 in Detail: Objectives, Recipients and Resources
Ministerial Decree 66/2023 is specifically aimed at training school staff (teachers and ATA staff) in state-recognised private schools. Its main objective is to develop the skills needed for a full and informed digital transition.
Who can apply? Project proposals may be submitted by the bodies running state-recognised private schools in the first and second cycles of education that operate on a non-commercial basis and are duly registered in the Ministry of Education and Merit’s register on the SIDI system.
Project features and eligible costs: Fundable projects must focus on training pathways that aim to:
- Strengthen the digital skills of school staff.
- Encourage informed and innovative use of technology in everyday teaching.
- Improve the digital management of school activities.
- Support the adoption of digitally enabled innovative teaching methods.
Available resources: DM 66/2023 has allocated a total of €10 million for these initiatives. Each body running state-recognised private schools will be assigned specific funding, which can be viewed on the “Futura PNRR – Gestione Progetti” platform. The amount includes a fixed sum of €3,000.00 per school, plus a variable amount calculated in proportion to the number of students in the 2022-2023 school year.
Key deadlines: Interested schools must submit their project proposals no later than 30 September 2025. Meeting this deadline is essential to access the funds.
