Summer Plan 2026: €320 million for summer at school

With notice ref. no. 112894 of 11 May 2026 (Ministerial Decree no. 79 of 11 May 2026 and Ministerial Decree no. 111 of 12 June 2026), the Ministry is using the PN «Scuola e competenze» 2021-2027 to fund pathways for skills development, inclusion and social life during the summer break.

Who benefits

All first- and second-cycle state schools and non-commercial state-recognised private schools and CPIAs (adult education centres), throughout Italy.

Amounts

The ceiling depends on the number of enrolled students:

• up to 200 students: €16,200;
• 201 to 800: €52,000;
• over 800: €80,000.

Standard-cost management: expert €70 per hour, tutor €30, management €5.10 per hour per participant, with optional canteen and additional staff member.

What can be funded

• 30- or 60-hour extracurricular modules (100 for foreign languages);
• first language, STEM, citizenship, personal and social skills, cultural expression;
• sport, play activities, entrepreneurship and computational thinking;
• partnerships with the local community.

Deadlines

• applications on SIF2127 closed at 15:00 on 4 June 2026;
• regional rankings approved on 15 June 2026;
• at least 30% of modules started by 31 December 2026;
• projects completed by 31 December 2027.
